Implementing the Resolution of the Board of Directors of Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group on accelerating development and in accordance with the Development Orientation and Strategy of PTSC Corporation, with the aim of specializing in service fields oil and gas services, improving service quality and business efficiency, on September 28, 2007, PTSC Offshore Oil and Gas Installation, Operation and Maintenance Services Joint Stock Company (POS) was established on the basis of Decision No. 253/QD-DVKT-HĐQT of the Board of Directors of Petroleum Technical Services Joint Stock Corporation (PTSC) and Business Registration Certificate No. 4904000173 issued by the Department of Planning and Investment of Ba Ria Province – Vung Tau issued on October 5, 2007.
